The Bride!
Leanne is 24 years old and lives in Milpitas, CA. She was born in Manila, Philippines and moved here when she was 5 years old. She lives with her parents and her older brother, AR. She went to school at UC Davis in Davis, CA (about two hours away from Milpitas) but she is glad that she is back in the Bay Area. She works full-time as a banker at a local credit union. She loves watching sports and napping.
The Groom!
Gary is 25 years old and lives in San Jose, CA. He is the youngest of three boys. He has lived in San Jose his whole life. He works as a full-time banker at a local credit union (different from Leanne's!) and goes to school at San Jose State University. He loves sports, video games, and working out.
About us!
Gary and Leanne met while working at Paramount's Great America in February of 2002. They worked in the Games Department, unit CF3. They were both part of the "closing crew" and became very good friends. A mutual friend of theirs, Kong, suggested that they date, but they didn't take his advice at first. When Leanne stopped working there in the summer of 2003, she really started missing Gary's company. They spoke on the phone often, and after a few months of "talking", officially became a couple on October 9, 2003.
They've gone through many tough times, including the three years that Leanne spent in Davis for college. It was very hard to work through a long distance relationship, but they are very glad that they stuck through it. When Leanne moved back home, in 2008, they started talking about getting married.
On July 12, 2009, Gary's brothers, Gary, and Leanne went to watch "The Proposal" at Cinemax Theatres at the Great Mall (where Gary and Leanne had their first "official" date). After Gary's brothers ran out of the theatre, a confused Leanne complained to Gary that his brothers were being weird... Gary said "They just want to watch The Proposal" and then got down on one knee! Gary said a bunch of sweet things (which Leanne couldn't hear)... she was too busy squealing! When she finallyyyyyyyyyy remembered to say "yes!" he gave her the most beautiful ring in the whole world :)
