Saint John the Baptist
Our church and ceremony venue. I probably have "preferred" treatment just because I've worked (as a volunteer) here since I was 5. They've been super helpful as far as doing our Pre-Cana classes (we're Catholic, you have to take a class before they'll allow you to marry) and our rehearsal and of course, the actual ceremony. I'll update this after the wedding, but so far, so good!
Reception - A-
Doubletree Hotel - San Jose
Our reception venue has been pretty good so far. When we were looking for reception venues, they were very nice and helpful. However, after we signed the contracts, I've noticed its taking longer to get a response to emails... And sometimes I don't get a response at all. I'm hoping that as we get closer to the date (about 4 months till Oct) things we'll improve (when we become more of a priority) but as it is right now, I'm not super happy. =/ But so far, A-.

Wow, I don't have enough good things to say about Hong at QPhoto. He's an amazing photographer and he's got a beautiful product. He's very down to earth and has very reasonably priced packages. What I love best about him is that he really tries to get to know his clients and find out what style photography they're comfortable with. For example, I'm a little chubby so obviously I don't like pictures that make me look chubby... and I'm REALLY uncomfortable when people "shoot up" (where they are at a low angle and they're taking a picture and can see up your nostrils... ::shudder::) so he makes sure he never does that... There are just too many things about him that are wonderful.

Lucky Jewelry
Another place that I've been going to for years! Lucky Jewelry is my go-to place for anything in the jewelry department. All three of our rings are from here and I know that when I go here I will be getting a fair price and a great quality product. She will be the first to point out when a stone is high quality and if something is worth upgrading. She doesn't try to pressure sell or anything like that, but if you tell her your budget, she will work within that. And she doesn't sell anything below 18kt gold so anything you buy there will be quality.
