DIY!

Placecards

Picture
Our DIY placecards!  So we just printed the names on some silver cardstock and then mounted it onto the blue-ish cardstock that we had leftover from the menus... the stamp is embossed, teal for steak & silver for salmon.

Bridal Shower Invites

Picture
My MOH and one of my bridesmaids have graciously decided to throw me a bridal shower!  The only thing they would let me help with is the invitations, so I designed these!  Its a picture of FI and I at my cousin's wedding.  I got these printed as postcards on Vistaprint with the RSVP information on the back.  I love it :)

Invites

Picture
Okay, not really DIY but I'll be addressing them myself so does that count?  This is one of the invites we're going to be using... After I ordered these (from the Philippines) my parents admitted that they wanted to invite more people... so I ended up being like 25-30 invites short... so I bought a Brides kit from Michaels and I will be printing some invites from home as well.  But these are our invites that are done!  Names are blanked out for internet safety :)

Photoshare Cards

Picture
I'm planning on including this with the menus (I'm going to print a menu for every seat) so hopefully they remember to take them home.  I'm still thinking of doing a different printing though, so this might change later on... I also plan on including one in the thank you cards.

Embossed Napkins

Picture
We will be having a cocktail hour before the sit down dinner at the reception as well as an open bar.  To jazz it up a bit, I am making napkins with our names on it.  I ordered a stamp from ebay and will emboss 600 of these... that's right... 600!!  Hahahaha I'm trying to do around 20-30 a night for the next couple of weeks... but we shall see :)

Centerpieces!

Picture
*note: sorry for all of the crap around the table... its tax season =/*
So we're going to have two types of centerpieces... tall and short.  This is the tall one (obviously) and is also (obviously) a very rough mock-up.  We are using real flowers, but the hydrangeas in this centerpiece are fake... my florist said that real hydrangeas are more "fluffy" so we hope to only use 3 of those stems on each centerpiece.  We are hoping to put 4-5 tall calla lilies in each vase... and we are replacing the long leaves with tall curly willow.  There are two teal floralytes in the bottom (buried in the teal acrylic ice rocks) but I might change my mind and put one down there and one in the floral foam.

Favors!

Picture
We decided to have mini pear cider bottles for our favors... We made our own labels (because I just was NOT willing to spend $1/label when we have to have 250 labels...) but I wished I had realized how much a PAIN IN THE ASS these would be.  They're not completely finished in this picture, we still need to hot glue the ribbon that says our names and our wedding date... but if I get lazy, they're going to stay like this :P

*UPDATE* Favors!

Picture
We finally finished gluing the darn ribbons to the darn tulle which we also glued to the darn bottles!  Haha I don't know why I'M complaining about this so much.  I totally made this FI's project :)  So he did a wonderful job, so here are a few pictures of the finished product!

Here is a pix of our army of favors.

Thank you Parasol

Picture
A lot of knotties were talking about these parasols, and I fell in love... so this was another project that I forced FI into... He's a lot better at coloring in the lines than me :)  It took him a total of 2 hours (because he messed up the first one)...

Cardbox

Picture
We bought this cardbox on theknot.com about a year ago when it was on sale.  Just wrapped some teal tulle around it, and attached a bride and groom bird (in honor of our pet bird, Ching, who unfortunately is not allowed at the wedding :P)

I may or may not attach a sign that says "cards" on it.  I'm kinda lazy :)
